NORWEGIAN SO KYOKUSHIN DOJO UPGRADE, BLACK BELT SERMONIE AND SPIRIT PRIZE
DOJO UPGRADE
Tromsø Karate Kyokushinkai built the dojo in 2004. The dojo is nice and is functioning well, but we have never been 100 % happy with the solution with the front wall.
Therefore, last year we started planning a major dojo upgrade. Especially the front wall was to be fixed.
It has been positive to have this to focus on during the long and difficult corona times.
22nd of April we officially opened the upgraded dojo with new front in the opposite end of the dojo room.
We are again experiencing big optimism in the dojo. We are training almost like normal.
I will also say that even the dojo looks good, the most important thing is the quality of the instructors and the karate we are teaching our student.
BLACK BELT SERMONIE
It is always nice to give new black belts their certificate and the new belt.
This day Senpai Theodor Finsrud got his belt after he passed his grading November 2020.
Theodor came to our dojo 10 years ago at the age of 5 year. Even as a little boy he took his karate very seriously and trained a lot.
Congratulation.
SPIRIT PRIZE
Every year we give away the Spirit prize to a student who have shown excellent spirit, and who have been training more than the other student.
The prize for 2020 was given to Kato Holdahl. He is a hard-working student and is always positive.
Congratulation.
